TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, Bt AMENDING SECTION 53 7252,
' SCHEDULE III PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN
STREETS, BY DELETING REFERENCE TO PORTIONS OF SOUTH
AS PIES STREET, AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER, AND
BY ADDING ITEM THAT WILL PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES
ON SOUTH STAPLES STREET, BOTH SIDES, FROM 100 FEET
NORTH OF AYERS STREET TO SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE FRONT-
AGE ROAD, EXCEPT WHERE HEAD -IN PARKING HAS BEEN PRE-
VIOUSLY DESIGNATED AND APPROVED BY THE DIRECTOR OF TRAFFIC
AND TRANSIT; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi,
1976 Revision, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending
Section 53 -252, Schedule III - PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN
STREETS, by deleting the following items;
South Staples Street, both sides, between Stirman Street and
Minnesota Avenue (Texan Trail);
South Staples Street, both sides, from 17th Street to the
westbound Frontage Road of Padre Island Drive;
South Staples Street, both sides, from intersection of
Minnesota Avenue and South Staples Street northward for
a distance of 350 feet;
South Staples Street, both sides, from intersection of
Hamlin Drive and South Staples Street northward for a
distance of 350 feet;
South Staples Street, both sides, from intersection
of Hamlin Drive and South Staples Street southward for
a distance of 350 feet;
South Staples Street, east side, from Ayers Street
northward for a distance of 100 feet;
South Staples Street, east side, between Ralston Avenue
and Texas Avenue;
South Staples Street, west side, from Ayers Street
northward for a distance of 100 feet.
and by adding the following to said Section 53 -252:
South Staples Street, both sides, from 100 feet north of
Ayers Street to South Padre Island Drive Frontage Road except
where head -in parking has been previously designated and
approved by the Director of Traffic and Transit on South Staples
Street from Ayers to 17th Streets.
SECTION 2, Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this
ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. MICROFILMED
