AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 13716, PASSED AND APPROVED APRIL 20, 1977, PERTAINING TO THE FOLLOWING STREET: PORT AVENUE (M -H 102) FROM BUFORD STREET TO S.H. 286, PROJECT NO. M -RO09 (2), BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE SO AS TO CORRECT AND ADJUST THE ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, ALL AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 13716, passed and approved by the City Council on the 20th day of April, 1977, closing the hearing on street improvements for portions of Port and Winnebago Street, in the City of Corpus Christi, be amended by correcting and adjusting the assessments levied against abutting property on the following streets: Port Avenue (M -H 102 from Buford Street to S.H. 286, Project No. M- R009(2 , as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ". and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend the assessment roll as herein set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its MICROFILMED. BRUCE AYCOCK, CITY ATTORNEY Assistant Ci orney FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL Port Avenue (M.H. 102) from Buford Street to State Highway 286; Project Number M -RO09 (2) This project includes the construction of street improvements to the above named streets within the limits described. The improvements consist of excavation to a width and depth to provide for the construction of a roadway width of 77' measured from back of curb. Approximately 6" compacted lime stabilized subgrade, approximately 6" flexible base, approximately 5'h" asphalt stabilized base and IV' hot -mix asphalt concrete. Standard 4" thick reinforced sidewalks and 6" thick reinforced driveways according to the plans and specifications of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. This project is built jointly by the City and the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. This is an assessment project and the abutting property owners are assessed in accordance with the assessment policy of the City of Corpus Christi. Based on the low bid as submitted by Abacus Corporation and the assessment policy the assessments are as follows: Curb, Gutter & Pavement 28' 9.96 p.l.f. Curb, Gutter & Pavement 14.25 p.l.f. Sidewalk .75 p.s.f. Driveway 15.82 p.s.y. Header Curb 3.07 p.s.f. Curb, Gutter & Pavement 4.75 p.l.f.
