AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 1 AND 2
IN CONNECTION WITH THE DUNN LANE TO NAVIGATION
BOULEVARD EXTENSION PROJECT NO.220- 72 -53; APPROPRI-
ATING OUT OF THE 220 STREET BOND FUND $20,000 OF
WHICH $17,950 IS FOR ACQUISITION AND $2,050 IS FOR
CONTINGENCIES, APPRAISAL COSTS AND INCIDENTAL
EXPENSES RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 1 and 2 in connection
with the Dunn Lane to Navigation Boulevard Extension Project No. 220- 72 -53,
said owners and parcels being more fully identified as follows:
Parcel 1, being from Waukesha- Pearce Industries, and described
as follows:
Be an irregularly shaped tract of land out of Lot 42
WHEIAN ADDITION ANJUX, as shown by map of record in
Volume 39, Page 140, Map Records, Nueces County,
Texas, and more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Ilest right -of -way line
of 80.0 foot wide Navigation Boulevard, said point
being the Northeast corner of abovementioned Lot 4;
Thence S. 6 0 38' 50" E., along the West right -of -way
line of said Navigation Boulevard, a distance of
60.01 feet to a point being the P.C. of a circular
curve in a Northwest direction;
Thence along the arc of said curve whose central
angle Is 900 02' 36 ", radius of 10.0 feet, tangent
of 10.01 feet, a distance of 15.72 feet to the point
of tangency;
Thence S. 830 18' 34" W., along a line that is
50.0 feet South of and parallel to the North
boundary line of said Lot 4, a distance of 403.70
feet to an angle point;
Thence S. 780 25' 18" W., a distance of 140.94 feet
to a point being the P.C. of a circular curve to the
right;
Thence along the arc of said curve whose central
angle is 50 30' 16 ", radius of 75.0 feet, tangent of
3.61 feet, a distance of 7.21 feet to the point of
tangency being the point of intersection with the McROFILMED a
East right -of -way line of the Dunn Lane cul -de -sac 'V'C
as shown by abovementioned mar) of said Lot 4;

Thence in a Northwesterly direction with the North-
easterly right -of -way line of said cul -de -sac along
the are of a circular curve whose central an -.le is
370 58' 24 "; radius of 50.0 feet, tangent 17.20
feet with a bearing of N. 130 38' 49" W., a distance
of 33.14 feet to the P.R.C. of a circular curve to
the right;
Thence continue along the Northeasterly right -of-
-ay line of said cul -de -sac with the arc of said
curve whose central ang>_e is 450 14' 23 ", radius of
34.50 feet, tangent of 14.38 feet, a distance of
27.24 feet to the point of intersection with the
North boundary line of abovementioned Lot 4;
Thence S. 870 18' 10" E., along the North boundary
line of said Lot 4, a distance of 171.85 feet to an
interior angle point;
Thence N. 60 18' 50" W., along the most Easterly
West boundary line of said Lot 4, a distance of
36.50 feet to an exterior angle point;
Thence N. 830 18' 34" E., along the North boundary
line of said Lot 4, a distance of 415.88 feet to
the place of beginning and containing 0.599 acres,
more or less.
Parcel 2, being from Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Moyer, and described
as follows:
Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of a portion of
the North one -half (N.2) of Tract No. 13, Dunn One Acre Tracts
as shown by map of record in Volume 376, Page 124, Deed Records,
Nueces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the East right -of -way
line of 45.0 foot wide Dunn Lane and the North boundary line of
Lot 4, Whelan Addition Annex as shown by map of record in
Volume 39, Page 140, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, for the
beginning point of the tract of land herein described;
Thence N. 60 22' 50" W., along the East right -of -way line of
said Dunn Lane, a distance of 20.52 feet to a point;
Thence N. 830 37' 10" E., a distance of 5.0 feet to a point
being the P.C. of a circular curve to the left;
Thence in a Southeasterly direction with the are of said curve
whose central angle is 950 11' 52 ", radius of 25.0 feet, tan-
gent of 27.38 feet, at 35.31 feet pass the point of tangency of
the North boundary line of abovementioned Lot 4, in all a
distance of 41.54 feet to the point of tangency of this des-
cription;
Thence N. 780 25' 18" E., a distance of 143.07 feet to a point
being the most Easterly Northwest corner of said Lot 4;
Thence S. 60 18' 50" E., along the most Easterly West boundary
line of said Lot 4, a distance of 36.50 feet to a point being
the most Northerly Southeast corner of said Lot 4;
Thence N. 870 18' 10" W., along the Northerly boundary line of
said Lot 4, a distance of 176.91 feet to the place of beginning
and containing 0.067 acres, more or less.

SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220
Street Bond Fund the sum of $20,000, of which $17,950 is for acquisition and
$2,050 is for contingencies, appraisal costs and incidental expenses
related to closing.
SECTION 3. That the necessity to acquire the above described
parcels in order that construction of the Dunn Lane to Navigation Boulevard
Extension Project may be commenced at the earliest practicable date
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the
suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be
passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or
resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and
the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having
requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed
finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance,
a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the
Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request
that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City
Council.
