HomeMy WebLinkAbout14445 ORD - 08/16/1978JKH:hb:8 /l4P8 ' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE III, CUTS AND EXCAVATIONS, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 49 -50, 49 -52, AND 49 -57 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, 1976 REVISION, TO DELETE "DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS AND OPERATIONS" WHERE APPEARING AND SUBSTITUTE "DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT" THEREFOR; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Article III. Cuts and Excavations,.0 Sections 4950, 49 -52, and 49 -57, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by deleting "director of inspections and operations" where it appears and substituting "director of engineering and physical development ". SECTION 2. That the necessity to amend-the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision as hereinabove set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspen- sion of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the day of August, 1978.
