AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SUPPLEMENTAL
AGREEMENT NO. 1 TO LEASE NO. 06 -6- 021 -61037 WITH THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE,
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, APPROVED SEPTEMBER 1, 1976,
.:< BY ORDINANCE N0. 13367, FOR THE USE OF APPROXIMATELY
1,663 SQUARE FEET OF USABLE SPACE LOCATED ON THE SECOND
FLOOR OF THE TOWER BUILDING AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTER -
NATIONAL AIRPORT (200 SQUARE FEET OF WHICH IS IN THE
OLD SECTION OF THE TOWER BUILDING AND 1,463 SQUARE FEET
IN THE.NEW SECTION OF THE TOWER BUILDING), ALL AS MORE
FULLY SET FORTH IN THE SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT, A SUB-
STANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A
PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A "; TERMINATING LEASE
NO. 06 -6 -021- 61138- AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE
TERMINATION AGREEMENT, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS
ATTACHED HERETO, MARKED EXHIBIT "B ", AND MADE A PART
HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to Lease No. 06 -6- 021 -61037 with
the United States of America, Department of Commerce, National Weather
Service, approved September 1, 1976, by Ordinance No. 13367, for the use of
approximately 1,663 square feet of usable space located on the second floor
of the Tower Building at the Corpus Christi International Airport (200
square feet of which is in the old section of the Tower Building and 1,463
square feet in the new section of the Tower Building), all as more fully
set forth in the Supplemental Agreement, a substantial copy of which is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That Lease Mo. 06 -6 -021 -61138 be and the same is hereby
terminated, and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
said Termination Agreement, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "B ".. u �^

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 1
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into on , by and between
the City of Corpus Christi, Corpus International Airport, Corpus Christi, Texas,
hereinafter called the Lessor, and THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, hereinafter called
the Government, witnesseth:
THAT, WHEREAS the parties have heretofore entered into Lease 06 -6 -021 -61037 dated
September 21, 1977, covering occupancy of premises by the Government in the new
addition of the Tower Building and at International Airport, Corpus Christi, Texas;
and,
WHEREAS said lease has been duly renewed through September 30, 1978; and,
WHEREAS it is now the intent of the parties hereto to amend said lease to reflect
the addition of 1463 square feet and an increase in rental.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually understood and agreed, by and between the parties
hereto, that, effective as of June 1, 1978, paragraph 2, and paragraphs 3 and 5
of said lease are amended, in their entirety, to read as follows:
Paragraph 2•
Approximately One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Three (1663) net usable square feet
of space located on the second floor of the Tower Building and, roof and /or ground
space as may be mutually agreed by the parties hereto, for installation of instru-
mental equipment with cable connections; all space located at International Airport,
Corpus Christi, Texas, to be used exclusively for the following purpose: office
quarters and uses incidental thereto.
Paragraph 3:
This lease may, at the option of the Government be renewed from year to year at
the following rentals: $1.00 per annum for 200 sq. ft., $1080.00 per annum for
200 sq. ft., and $5,632.98 per annum for 1263 sq. ft. (TOTAL $ix.Thousand Seven
Hundred Thirteen.and 981100 1$6,713.98)_:._ => Dollars), and otherwise upon the terms
and conditions herein specified, provided notice be given in writing to the Lessor
at least thirty days before this lease or any renewal thereof would otherwise
expire: PROVIDED that no renewal shall extend the period of occupancy of the
premises beyond the thirtieth day of June, 1981, such notice to be computed from
date of mailing.
Paragraph 5
The Government shall pay the Lessor annual rent of $6,713.98'at the rate of $5.50_'
per month, in arrears. Rent for a lesser period shall be prorated. Rent check
shall be made payable to: City of Corpus Christi, P. 0. Box 9277, Corpus Christi,
Texas 78408. Payment is contingent upon the passage of an appropriation by the
Congress from which expenditures thereunder may be made and the United States shall
not be obligated upon failure of Congress to so appropriate.

The considerations, acts, promises, agreements, and provisions to be executed and
performed by each party, as provided is said lease shall remain in full force and
effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto subscribed their name as of
the date first above written.

TERMINATION AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into on by, and
between the City of Corpus Christi, Texas whose address is P. 0. Box 9277,
Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called the Lessor, and THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, hereinafter called the Government, witnesseth:
THAT, WHEREAS, the parties hereto have heretofore entered into lease 06- 6 -021-
61138 dated July 1, 1976 covering occupancy of premises by the Government in
the Tower Building and at Corpus International Airport, Corpus Christi, Texas;
and,
WHEREAS said lease has been duly renewed through September 30, 1978, and,
:WHEREAS it is now the intent of the parties hereto to terminate said lease,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually understood and agreed by and between the parties
hereto that the said lease, will terminate effective as of May 31, 1978.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto subscribed their names as of the
date first above written.

approximately 1,663 square feet of usable space on the second floor of the
Tower Building at the*C.C. International Airport, read on the first two of
three readings on July 19, 1978 and July 26, 1978, respectively, be amended
prior to the third and final reading as follows:
A. Amend the Supplemental Agreement No. 1 by amending
Paragraph 3, by changing the figure of $6,062.64 to $5,632.98, and changing
the figure of $7,143.40 to $6,713.98.
B. Amend the said Agreement by amending Paragraph 5, by changing
the figure of $7,143.40 to $6,713.98, and changing the figure of $595.28
to $559:50
