HomeMy WebLinkAbout14475 ORD - 08/30/1978rr:8- 14- 78;lst a AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT THE COST OF PROVIDING CITY'S INTRASTATE CHARTER BUS SERVICE HAS SUBSTAN- TIALLY INCREASED: ESTABLISHING NEW RATES FOR BUS CHARTER SERVICE COMPARABLE WITH TARIFFS ESTAB- LISHED BY THE RAILROAD COMMISSION, FOR REGULAR AND RESTROOM EQUIPPED CHARTERS: AMENDING SECTION 2, ITEM (c), OF ORDINANCE NO. 9864, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 10853, 11794, 12366, 13182, AND 13729, TO BE COMPARABLE WITH SAID TEXAS RAIL- ROAD COMMISSION TARIFF: AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICA- TION. WHEREAS, the cost of providing City intrastate charter bus service, including operators' salaries and bus maintenance, has increased substantially since May 18, 1977; and WHEREAS, the Texas Railroad Commission as of March 9, 19783 issued an amended tariff applicable to charter bus service; and WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi is desirous bf amend- ing its rate schedule to be comparable with the tariff established by the Texas Railroad Commission: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the rate schedule for charter service for equipment with restroom service be and the same is hereby adopted at the rate as shown on the attached schedule, beginning with line 5, "39 passengers," which Table is incorporated herein the same as if written herein for all Corpus Christi Transit ser- vice out -of -town charter service for equipment with restroom ser- vice. SECTION 2. That the rate schedule for charter servic- for equipment without restroom service be and the same is hereby adopted at the rate shown on the attached schedule, beginning with line 1, "35 passengers or less," which Table is incorporated herein the same as if written herein for all Corpus Christi Transit service out -of- -town charter service for equipment without restroom service. 0 8 , FD 19QV UK OR 14475 SECTION 3. That Section 2, Item (c) of Ordinance No. 9864, passed and approved by the City Council on July 29, 1970, as amended by Ordinances 10853, 11794, 12366, 13182, and 13729 be amended to hereafter include the rate schedule attached to and made a part of this ordinance. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of this ordinance,'stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. SECTION 6.
