AND 6:00 P.M. ON ANY DAY EXCEPT SATURDAY AFTERNOON, SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS OFFICIALLY SET BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE HEREINAFTER DESIGNATED STREETS; AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) METER ZONE NO. 1, ITEM (8), LOWER BROADWAY, AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; AMENDING SUBSECTION (b) METER ZONE NO. 2, ITEM (8), UPPER BROADWAY, S MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; AND AMENDING SUBSECTION (d) METER ZONE NO. 4, BY DELETING ITEM (5T, SOUTH ONE - HALF OF THE BLOCK, ANTELOPE STREET TO BUFFALO STREET; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING FOR SERVERANCE: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY,IOF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: ` SECTION 1. That Section 53 -257, Schedule VIII, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by adding a new subsection, subsection (e), to hereafter + read as follows: y "(e) Meter Zone No. 5 is established in which parking shall be limited to fifteen minutes upon the deposit of one five -cent coin and thirty minutes upon the deposit of two five -cent coins, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day, except on Saturday afternoon, R Sundays and holidays officially set by the City Council, upon the following streets: (1) UPPER BROADWAY, south one -half of the block, Antelope Street to Buffalo Street (2) LOWER BROADWAY, south one - fourth of block, from Law- rence Street to Schatzel Street (3) LAWRENCE STREET, north side only, west one -half of block, from Lower Bdwy. to Mesquite Street." SECTION 2. That subsection (a) Meter Zone No. 1 be and the same is hereby amended by amending item (8) to hereafter read as follows: "(8) Lower Broadway, William Street to Taylor Street, except that portion described in subsection (e) Meter Zone No. 5." SECTION 3. That subsection (b) Meter Zone No. 2, be and the same* , 100FILMED' �BUI 0 81980 M is hereby amended by amending item (8) to hereafter read as follows: "(8) Upper Browadway, Lipan Street to Winnebago Street, except that portion described in subsection (e) Meter Zone No. 5." SECTION 4. That subsection (d) Meter Zone No. 4, be and the same is hereby amended by deleting item (5), South one -half of the block, Antelope Street to Buffalo Street. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 7. The provisions hereinabove set forth shall become effective from and after installation of meters with meter zone designations at the respective locations.
