HomeMy WebLinkAbout14760 ORD - 02/07/1979JKH:hb:2/6/79 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 263 MUSEUM BOND FUND THE SUM OF $10,770 FOR PROJECT NO. 263-77-1, CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM, COMPLETION OF EXHIBIT SPACE IN THE NORTH WING, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RESTORATION OF FIVE OLD PAINTINGS TO BE USED AS EXHIBITS IN THE NORTH BUILDING, SAID RESTORATION TO BE DONE BY JACK FLANAGAN; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 263 Museum Bond Fund the sum of $10,770 for Project No. 263-77-1, for completion of exhibit space in the north wing and restoration of five old paintings to be used as exhibits in the north building. Said restoration to be accomplished by Jack Flanagan, for the Corpus Christi Museum. SECTION 2. That the necessity to appropriate the sum described hereinabove creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordi- nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 1 day of February, 1979.
