HomeMy WebLinkAbout14812 ORD - 03/07/1979• AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $31,811.13 OUT OF VARIOUS BOND -FUNDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $5,000,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 1978-A, SOLD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1978; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $31,811.13 out of various bond funds as hereinafter set forth for expenses in connection with the sale of $5,000,000 General Improvement Bonds, Series 1978-A, said sale having been conducted on November 8, 1978, said expenses being as follows: Bond Attorney, Hobby H. McCall Financial Advisor, M. E. That the necessity to appropriate the Sums hereinabove for expenses in connection with the sale of Series 1978-A General Improvement bonds creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force MICROFILMED "JUL O 2'^90 14812 and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 7 day of March, 1979.
