GEORGE MOFF TO THE POSITION OF TAX ASSESSOR -COLLECTOR BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO CITY CHARTER ARTICLE III, SECTION 3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Mr. George Moff, appointed to the office of Tax Assessor -Collector by the City Manager, pursuant to City Charter Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. SECTION 2. The necessity for confirming the appointment of Mr. George Moff as promptly as possible creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the Charter rule be suspended and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY 50 RESOLVED, this the 11 _ day of April, 1979. i ATTEST: t C1 y Secretary APP VED: DAY OF APRIL, 1979: "/ City Attornk YOR THE CITY OF 14857 RPU HRISTI, TEXAS MICROFILMED An.
