CHIPPEWA STREET FROM DUNCAN AVENUE TO FRANCESCA STREET; 2. COLEMAN AND MORRIS STREETS FROM DUNCAN AVENUE TO HARMON STREET; 3. DOLORES AVENUE AND HARMON STREET FROM RUTH STREET TO AGNES STREET; 4. DUNCAN AVENUE FROM HIGHLAND AVENUE TO AGNES STREET; 5. MARGUERITE STREET FORM DUNCAN AVENUE TO SOUTH PORT AVENUE; 6. MARY STREET, FRANCESCA STREET TO SOUTH PORT AVENUE; 7. RUTH STREET FROM FRANCESCA STREET TO HIGHLAND AVENUE; 8. SUNRISE AVENUE FROM DUNCAN AVENUE TO RUTH, AS HEREWITH PROVIDED AND AS REFLECTED BY ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 14768, PASSED AND APPROVED FEBRUARY 7, 1979; KEEPING IN EFFECT ALL OTHER PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE 14539; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: • SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 14539, passed and approved by the City Council on the 4th day of October, 1978, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as to correct and adjust the asses- sments levied against abutting property owners on the following streets: ELLA BARNES; UNIT 1A 1. Chippewa Street from Duncan Avenue to Francesca Street; 2. Coleman and Morris Streets from Duncan Avenue to Harmon Street; MICROFILMED 3. Dolores Avenue and Harmon Street from Ruth Street to Agnes Street; 4. Duncan Avenue from Highland Avenue to Agnes Street; 14832 JUL 0 i��0 • • 5. Sunrise Avenue from Duncan Avenue to Ruth, as hereinafter provided, as is reflected on the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, attached hereto and made a part hereof, as as reflected by zoning ordinance amendments provided by Ordinance No. 14763, passed and approved on February 7, 1979. SECTION 2. Except as herein amended, Ordinance No. 14539 shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The necessity to make the adjustments and corrections outlined hereinabove creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ATTEST: i /41 Secretary APPROVED: '7 DAY OF MAY, 1979: J. Turner Cliff Zarsky by the following vote: 14892 AMENDED PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL ELLA BARNES AREA, UNIT IA APRIL 17, 1979 • Ella Barnes Area, Unit IA shall include improvements to the following streets: 1. Chippewa Street from Duncan Avenue to Francesca Street; 2. Coleman and Morris Streets from Duncan Avenue to Harmon Street; 3. Dolores Avenue and Harmon Street from Ruth Street to Agnes Street; 4. Duncan Avenue from Highland Avenue to Agnes Street; 5. Marguerite Street from Duncan Avenue to South Port Avenue; 6. Mary Street from Francesca Street to South Port Avenue; 7. Ruth Street from Francesca Street to Highland Avenue; 8. Sunrise Avenue from Duncan Avenue to Ruth Street. These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the laying of a standard curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 8" compacted caliche base and lig" Type "D" Hot -Mix Asphaltic pavement. Streets will vary in width from 28' to 38' depending on right-of-way and street usage. There will be 4' wide reinforced sidewalks and 6" reinforced driveways as shown on construction plans or where requested by the owner. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest paving policy adopted by the City. Based on the lowest bid price submitted by Isle Construction Company, the assessment rates are as follows: 28' Wide Street, Back of Curb 4" Curb, Gutter & Pavement 6" Curb, Gutter & Pavement 38' Wide Street, Back of Curb 4" Curb, Gutter & Pavement 6" Curb, Gutter & Pavement $8.97 per 1.f. 9.34 per 1.f. $13.72 per 1.f. 14.09 per 1.f. Sidewalk $1.17 per s:f. Driveway 2.34 per s.f. All properties, zoned and used for one and two family residences, churches and schools have been assessed at the maximum rate established by the.
