HomeMy WebLinkAbout14983 ORD - 07/11/1979AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL 50 IN CON- NECTION WITH LAND ACQUISITION AROUND THE OSO SEWER PLANT, SUCH ACQUISITION TO BE FUNDED FROM THE SANITARY SEWER OPERATING FUND RESERVE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcel 50 in connection with land acquisition around the Oso Sewer Plant from Edwin Juelg and wife, Mildred Evelyn Juelg, said parcel of land being described as follows: Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of the Northerly portion of the Juelg Addition as shown by map of record in Volume 23, Page 74, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Juelg Addition which is also the Northeast corner of Lot 12, Section 17, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts as shown by map of re— cord in Volume A, Pages 41, 42, 43, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, for the beginning point of the tract -of land herein described; Thence S. 28° 50' 05" W., along the Easterly boundary line of said Juelg Addition, a distance of 340.0 feet to a point; • Thence N. 60° 57' 20"W., along the Northerly boundary line of that portion of said Juelg Addition conveyed to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas by deed as recorded in Volume 1362, Page 480, Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, a distance of 314.20 feet to a point on the Westerly boundary line of said Juelg Addition; Thence N. 10° 37' E., along the Westerly boundary line of said Juelg Addition, a distance of 102.50 feet to an angle point; Thence N. 31°'37' E., continue along the Northwesz.erly boundary line of said Juelg Addition, a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; Thence S. 87° 16' E., continue along the Northerly boundary line of said Juelg Addition, a distance of 326.0 feet to a point on the Northerly boundary line of abovementioned Lot 12; Thence S. 61° 00' 20" E., continue along the Northerly boundary line of said Juelg Addition and said Lot 12, a distance of 48.0 feet to the place of beginning and containing 2.155 acres, more or less. Acquisition of the said parcel is to be funded from the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund Reserve. I` 14983 F►N1ED, 2�'0 14983 SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize the City Manager to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of the above described parcel of land so that the project described hereinabove may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requir- ing the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 1/ day of July, 1979.
