HomeMy WebLinkAbout15018 ORD - 07/25/1979jkh:vp:7/24/79:1st AN ORDINANCE , AMENDING THE 1978-79 TRANSIT FUND BUDGET; INCREASING "OUTSIDE SALE OF FUEL - CITY" REVENUE, NUMBER 2926, BY $33,700; INCREASING "OUTSIDE SALE OF FUEL - OTHERS" REVENUE, NUMBER 2924, BY $2,100; APPROPRIATING $35,800 TO THE "COST OF FUEL AND LUBRICANTS SOLD" ACTIVITY, NUMBER 6513, CODE 216; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 1978-79 Transit Fund Budget be amended by increasing the "Outside Sale of Fuel - City" revenue, number 2926, by $33,700; increasing the "Outside Sale of Fuel - Others" revenue, number 2924, by $2,100; and appropriating $35,800 to the "Cost of Fuel and Lubricants Sold" activity, number 6513, code 216. SECTION 2. That the necessity to amend the 1978-79 Transit Fund Budget as hereinabove set forth in order to recognize increased fuel cost and revenues creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requir- ing the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ,?S " ----day of July, 1979.
