HomeMy WebLinkAbout15076 ORD - 08/22/1979jkh;8-22-79;lst - n/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN BY TAKING APPROXI- MATELY 80 ACRES LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF STAPLES AND SARATOGA, DESIGNATED AS AREA J-B-1,FROM THE BOUNDARY DESIGNATED AS THE "J" SYSTEM AND PLACING THE AREA INTO THE SYSTEM DESIGNATED AS THE "L" DRAINAGE SYSTEM, AS MORE FULLY ILLUSTRATED BY THE MAP ATTACHED HERETO, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Drainage Master Plan be amended by taking approximately 80 acres located at the southwest corner of Staples and Saratoga, designated as Area J-B-1,from the boundary designated as the "J" System and placing the area into the system designated as the "L" Drainage System, as more fully illustrated by the map attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. The necessity to amend the Drainage Master Plan as described at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 22— day 2day of August, 1979.
