HomeMy WebLinkAbout15193 ORD - 10/24/1979vp:IU/24//9:Ist AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 14821, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY COUNCIL MARCH 7, 1979, WHICH AUTHORIZED A CONTRACT WITH RALPH BURKE AND ASSOCIATES FOR UPDATE OF THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN - BY REVISING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONTRACT AS FOLLOWS: APPROPRIATING $9,870 FOR AN,AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT, AND REAPPROPRIATING $94,600 FOR THE BASE CONTRACT FOR A TOTAL APPROPRIATION OF $104,470, OF WHICH $60,000 IS OUT OF FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINIS- TRATION GRANT NO. A-48-0051-01 AND $44,470 IS,OUT OF THE NO. 245 AIRPORT BOND FUND, PROJECT NO. 245-77-7, AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE; AND DECLARING AN EMER- GENCY. a BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No.14821, passed and approved by the Corpus Christi City Council on March 7, 1979, which authorized a contract with Ralph Burke and Associates for update of the Airport Master Plan, be and the same is hereby amended so as to revise the appropriation for the contract as follows: appropriating $9,870 for an amendment to the contract, and reappro- priating$94,600 for the base contract for a total appropriation of $104,470, of which $60,000 is out of Federal Aviation Administration Grant No. A-48-0051-01 and $44,470 is out of the No. 245 Airport Bond Fund, Project No. 245-77-7, Airport Master Plan Update. SECTION 2. That the necessity to amend Ordinance No. 14821 so as to revise the appropriation for the contract as aforesaid creates a public emer- gency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having°declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 211 day of October, 1979.
