HomeMy WebLinkAbout15197 ORD - 10/24/1979jkh:10-24-79;1st AN ORDINANCE "AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR AN 18 -MONTH GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $162,978 TO DEVELOP AN IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE GRANT IF, AND WHEN IT IS APPROVED BY THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, • TEXAS: ` SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given for submission of a grant application to the Criminal Justice Division for an 18 -month grant in the amount of $162,978 to develop an implementation and management system for criminal investigations and for execution of all documents necessary to , implement the grant if •and when it is approved by the Criminal Justice Division. .4 SECTION 2,; The necessity to authorize submission of the aforesaid grant and the execution of all documents necessary to implement the grant 4. if and when'it i s approved by the Criminal Justice Division creates a public emergency and *imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally fg on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall t be read at three several'meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the .A k suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be inmfull force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO,ORDAINED, this the ,,1? 54 day of ( kilo 1979.
