HomeMy WebLinkAbout15207 ORD - 10/31/1979jkh:10-31-79;lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE WEST ONE-HALF OF PARCEL 21, ALL OF PARCEL 22 AND PARCEL 23, IN CONNECTION WITH THE LAND ACQUISITION AROUND THE OSO SEWER PLANT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute document necessary for the acquisition of the West one-half of Parcel 21, all of Parcel 22 and Parcel 23, in connection with the land acquisition around the Oso Sewer Plant, from Saul Cooper, Trustee, said'parcels being more fully described as follows: Being all of Lot 27, Lot 26 and the West 50.0 feet of Lot 25, Block 2, Edgewater Terrace as shown by map of record in Volume 7, Pages 38 and 39, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point on the South right-of-way line of Del Oso Road, said point being the Northwest corner of said Lot 27, Block 2, Edgewater Terrace, for the beginning corner of -the tract of land herein described; Thence N. 85° 07' 50" E., along the South right-of-way line of said Del Oso Road and the North boundary line of Said Block 2, passing the Northwest corner of said Lot 26 at 100.0 feet and the Northwest corner of said Lot 25 at 200.0 feet, in all a distance of 250.0 feet to a point which bears N. 85° 07' 50" E., a distance of 50.0 feet from the Northwest corner of said Lot 25; Thence S. 04° 54' 16" E., along a line that is 50.0 feet East of and parallel to the West boundary line of said Lot 25, a distance of 134.16 feet to a point on the South boundary line of said Lot 25; Thence N. 84° 48' 00" W., along the South boundary line of said Block 2, passing the Southwest corner of said Lot 25 at 50.0 feet and the Southwest corner of said Lot 26 at 150.0 feet, in all a distance of 250.0 feet to a point which is the Southwest corner of said Lot 27, Block 2; Thence N. 04° 54' 16" W., along the West boundary line of said Lot 27, Block 2, a distance of 135.60 feet to the place of be- ginning and containing 33,719.99 square feet, more or less. 15207 MICROFILMED AUG 2 81980 SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize execution of the documents necessary to acquire the hereinabove described parcels at the earliest practicable date in order that the project may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction -and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 3f day of iYiLl.Iit/ , 1979.
