HomeMy WebLinkAbout15858 ORD - 11/05/1980AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, 1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V, INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES, SO AS TO DELETE REFERENCES TO PORTIONS OF LEOPARD STREET (S.H. 9) AND IN LIEU THEREOF ADDING PROVISIONS FOR SPEED LIMITS OF 35 MILES PER HOUR AT ALL TIMES FROM CROSS- TOWN EXPRESSWAY (S.H. 286) SOUTHBOUND' FRONTAGE ROAD TO A POINT 180 FEET EAST OF OAK PARK AVENUE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICA- TION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 53-254, Section V. INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES, by deleting the following: NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT EFFECTIVE TIMES ' Leopard Street (S.H. 9) From Port Avenue to a point 180 feet east of Oak Park Ave. 35 mph At all times and in lieu thereof adding the following provisions: NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT EFFECTIVE TIMES Leopard Street (S.H. 9) From Crosstown Expressway (S.H. 286) southbound frontage road to a point 180 feet east of Oak Park Avenue 35 mph At all times SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, which publication shall contain the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. 15858 M10E EILMED, SBP 271984 s.
