AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15994, PASSED AND APPROVED ON
JANUARY 28, 1981, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID OR-
DINANCE SO AS TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
ASSESSMENT LEVIED AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS:
Lexington Estates and Mahan Acres Area
1. Brandesky, Cosner and Kosarek Drives, from
McArdle Road to South Padre Island Drive;
2. Foley Drive, from Kostoryz Road to Broughton
Drive;
3. Hakel Drive, from McArdle Road to Mahan
Drive.
AS HEREIN PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 15994, passed and approved on
January 28, 1981, be amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as
to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against abutting
property owners on the following streets:
Lexington Estates and Mahan Acres Area
1. Brandesky, Cosner and Kosarek Drives, from
McArdle Road to South Padre Island Drive;
2. Foley Drive, from Kostoryz Road to Broughton
Drive;
3. Hakel Drive, from McArdle Road to Mahan
Drive.
as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a
substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by amendment of the final assessment
roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requir-
ing suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordin-
ances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is

LEXINGTON ESTATES AND MAHAN ACRES
STREET IMPROVEMENTS
DECEMBER 30, 1981
These improvements shall include improvements to the following streets:
1. Brandesky, Cosner and Kosarek Drives, from McArdle Road to
South Padre Island Drive,
2. Foley Drive, from Kostoryz Road to Broughton Drive,
- 3. Hakel Drive, from McArdle Road to Mahan Drive.
LThese streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the
laying of a standard curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 8" compacted
caliche base and 11/2" Type "D" Hot Asphaltic pavement. Streets will be 28' wide within
Athe existing,right-of-way. There will be 4' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks 4"
r'thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways as shown on the plans or where requested
by owners.
,,,The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest paving policy
.'adopted by the City. Based on this policy and the low bid submitted by King Construction
Company, the assessment rates are as follows:
