CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 10 FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
BETWEEN LOTS 33 AND 34, BLOCK 3, WILLOWOOD UNIT IV
SUBDIVISION, THE CALISTO CIRCLE RIGHT-OF-WAY, BEING A
PORTION ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE CUL-DE-SAC OF SAID
STREET, THE CALISTO CIRCLE RIGHT-OF-WAY BEING A PORTION
ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE CUL-DE-SAC OF SAID STREET,
AND AN APPROXIMATE 100 FOOT LONG PORTION AT THE NORTHWEST
END OF 50 FOOT WIDE PIEDRA CREEK DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR
REPLATTING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, a 10 foot wide utility easement exists between Lots 33 and
34, Block 3, Willowood Unit IV Subdivision as shown by plat recorded in
Volume 46, Pages 195-196, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; Calisto Circle
right-of-way, being a portion on the southeast side of the cul-de-sac of said
street and further described by metes and bounds shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto; Calisto Circle right-of-way, being a portion on the
northwest side of the cul-de-sac of said street and further described by
metes and bounds shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and an approximate 100
foot long portion at the northwest end of 50 foot wide Piedra Creek Drive
further described by metes and bounds shown on Exhibit "C" attached hereto;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is feasible and
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi to abandon said utility easement
and rights-of-way provided that applicant replat all affected properties,
submit plans showing removal and reconstruction of affected street
improvements and relocate the existing sanitary sewer line in the
aforementioned 10 foot utility easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That a 10 foot wide utility easement existing between
Lots 33 and 34, Block 3, Willowood Unit IV Subdivision as shown by plat
recorded in Volume 46, Pages 195-196, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas;
Calisto Circle right-of-way, being a portion on the southeast side of the
cul-de-sac of said street and further described by metes and bounds shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto; Calisto Circle right-of-way, being a portion on
the northwest side of the cul-de-sac of said street and further described by
metes and bounds shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and an approximate 100
foot long portion at the northwest end of 50 foot wide Piedra Creek Drive

being further described by metes and bounds shown on Exhibit "C" attached
hereto be closed and abandoned provided that applicant replat all affected

SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by closing and abandoning the
aforesaid utility easement and rights-of-way such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first
reading as an emergency measure this the c,2716e day of March, 1983.

Description of 0.036 acres of land, more or less, out of Calisto
Circle, located in Willowood Unit IV as shown by plat recorded in
Volume 46, Pages 195 & 196 of the Map Records of Nueces County,
Texas and further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod found in the Southeasterly
right-of-way line of said Calisto Circle which bears S53°20'32"E
156.54 feet and N44°41'29"E 206.47 feet from a 5/8" iron rod
found at the Westernmost corner of said Willowood Unit IV, said
beginning 5/8" iron rod being the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE along said right-of-way line of Calisto Circle being the
arc of a circular curve to the left with an initital tangent
bearing of S44°41'29"W, a central angle of 45°14'23", a radius of
34.50 feet and a tangent length of 14.38 feet, a distance of
27.24 feet to a 5/8" iron rod found for the point of reverse
curvature of a circular curve to the right having an initial
tangent bearing of S00°32'54"E, a central angle of 105°14'23", a
radius of 50.00 feet and a tangent length of 65.44 feet, a
distance of 91.84 feet to a 5/8" iron rod set for the Southwest
corner of this tract;
THENCE N44°41'29"E 103.30 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
EXHIBIT "A"
Description of 0.036 acres of land, more or less, out of Calisto.
Circle, located in Willowood Unit IV as shown by plat recorded in
Volume 46, Pages 195 & 196 of the Map Records of Nueces County,
Texas and further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod found in the Westerly right-of-way
line of said Calisto Circle which bears S53°20'32"E 106.04 feet'
and N44°41'29"E 213.53 feet from a 5/8" iron rod found at the
Westernmost corner of said Willowood Unit IV, said beginning 5/8"
iron rod being the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S44°41'29"W 103.30 feet to a 5/8" iron rod set in said
Westerly right-of-way line of Calisto Circle for the Southwest
corner of this tract;
THENCE along said Westerly right-of-way line of Calisto Circle
being along the arc of a circular curve to the right with an
initial tangent bearing of N15°18'32"W, a central angle of
105°14'24", a radius of 50.00 feet and a tangent length of 65.45
feet, a distance of 91.84 feet to a 5/8" iron rod found for the
point of reverse curvature of a circular curve to the left having
an initial tangent bearing of N89°55'52"E, a central angle of
45°14'23", a radius of 34.50 feet, a tangent length of 14.38
feet, a distance of 27.24 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

Description of 0.091 acres of land, more or less, out of Piedra
Creek Drive located in Willowood Unit IV, as shown by plat
recorded in Volume 46, Pages 195 & 196 of the Map Records of
Nueces County, Texas and further described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod found in a Northwest boundary line
of said Willowood Unit IV which bears S44°41'29"W 100.00 feet
from the Northernmost corner of said Willowood Unit IV, said iron
rod being located in the Northeast right-of-way line of said
Piedra Creek Drive for the Northernmost corner of the tract
herein described;
THENCE along said Northeast right-of-way line of Piedra Creek
Drive being the arc of a circular curve to the left with an
initial tangent bearing of S45°18'31"E, a central angle of
10°45'45", a radius of 427.79 feet and a tangent length of 40.30
feet, a distance of 80.36 feet to a 5/8" iron rod set for the
Easternmost corner of this tract;
THENCE along the arc of a circular curve to the left with an
initial tangent bearing of S73°08'57"W, a central angle of
77°22'06", a radius of 40.00 feet and a tangent length of 32.03
feet, a distance of 54.01 feet to a 5/8" iron rod set for the
Southernmost corner of this tract and being in the Southwest
right-of-way line of said Piedra Creek Drive;
THENCE along said Southwest right-of-way line of Piedra Creek
Drive being the arc of a circular curve to the right with an
initial tangent bearing of N56°00'54"W, a central angle of
10°42'23", a radius of 477.79 feet, a tangent length of 44.77
feet, a distance of 89.28 feet to a 5/8" iron rod found in a
Northwest boundary line of said Willowood Unit IV for the
Westernmost corner of this tract;
THENCE along said Northwest boundary line of said Willowood Unit
IV N44°41'29"W 50.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
