APPROPRIATING $14,100.00 FOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, WHICH
PROVIDES FOR FENCING, ADDITIONAL IRRIGATION, AND AN EXTRA
WATER FOUNTAIN FOR THE ST. ANDREWS PARK SITE DEVELOPMENT;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
. SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $14,100.00 from the
No. 291 Park Bond Fund for Change Order No. 1, which provides for fencing,
additional irrigation, and an extra water fountain for the St. Andrews Park
Site Development, applicable to Project No. 291-82-2.
Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by
appropriating the funds necessary for the above project at the earliest
practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and.
shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 28th
day of September, 1983.

french drain for the lump sum of $8,500.00

Why was this change necessary? (If left off the plans and specifications, explain why.)
The extension of the irrigation system and the additional water fountain were requested
by Parks and Recreation. The water fountain will be installed near the amphitheater/shelter
on the east end of the park. The additional 4' fence was requested by Parks and Recreation.
How can similar changes be avoided in the future? Unavoidable

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
