TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 13691 PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH 2, 1977, BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING
STREET PROJECTS TO THE URBAN SYSTEMS PROGRAM AS
ADMINISTERED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS & PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION AND ADOPTING THE MINUTE ORDERS PERTAINING
TO THESE STREETS:
1. Saratoga Boulevard from Weber Road to Ayers Street
2. Saratoga Boulevard from South Staples to Weber Road
3. South Alameda Street from Doddridge Street to Parade
Drive
4. Kostoryz Road from South Staples Street to South
Padre Island Drive;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 13691, passed and approved by the
City Council on March 2, 1977, which authorized submission of various streets
to the Department of Highways and Public Transportation to be included in the
Urban Systems Program, as amended, be amended by adding the following street
projects:
1. Saratoga Boulevard from Weber Road to Ayers Street
2. Saratoga Boulevard from South Staples to Weber Road
3. South Alameda Street from Doddridge Street to Parade
Drive
4. Kostoryz Road from South Staples Street to South
Padre Island Drive;
and that the Minute Orders pertaining to these streets, copies of which are
attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibits "A", "B", "C", and
"D", are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need to amend the Urban Systems Program by adding the aforementioned streets
in order that they may be effectuated at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at
three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
