AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 18865 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER
TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS:
1. Purdue Road, from Flour Bluff Drive to Waldron Road,
and
2. Purdue Road, from Waldron Road easterly 840 linear
feet.
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 18865, passed and approved June 4,
1985, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following
streets:
1. Purdue Road, from Flour Bluff Drive to Waldron Road, and
2. Purdue Road, from Waldron Road easterly 840 linear feet.
a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of- City affairs by the adoption of the
final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the 5th day of November, 1985.

FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL
PURDUE ROAD
STREET IMPROVEMENTS
This project shall include improvements to the following street:
1. Purdue Road, from Flour Bluff Drive to Waldron Road, and
2. Purdue Road, from Waldron Road easterly 840 linear feet.
This street shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to
permit the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, 6" compacted
subgrade, 8" compacted cement stabilized base, and 31 Type "D" Hot Mix
Asphaltic pavement. The street will be 40' wide, BOC and constructed
within the 60' right-of-way. There will be 4' or 5' wide reinforced
concrete sidewalks, 4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways
as shown on the plans.
The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest
City paving policy. Based on this policy and the low bid prices submitted
by Chapman Construction Company, Inc., the assessment rates are as follows:
