HomeMy WebLinkAbout020858 ORD - 01/09/1990AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO NUECES ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC., ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A RENEWAL AND EXTENSION OF ITS FIVE-YEAR ELECTRIC LIGHT, HEAT AND POWER FRANCHISE GRANTED BY ORDINANCE 18372; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby granted to Nueces Electric Cooperative, Inc., its successors and assigns, a renewal and extension of the five-year franchise granted to Nueces by the City Council in Ordinance No. 18372 on July 31, 1984, said franchise being effective upon its publication on August 5, 1984. SECTION 2. The term of the franchise renewal and extension granted herein shall be five years commencing August 5, 1989, and shall continue on a month to month basis thereafter until a new franchise is agreed to by the parties, or cancelled by either party. SECTION 3. Notice of this ordinance shall be published as required by Article IX, Section 3 of the City Charter.
