HomeMy WebLinkAbout020868 ORD - 01/23/1990AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53, TRAFFIC, SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V, TO INCREASE THE SPEED LIMIT ON LEOPARD STREET FROM 30 MPH TO 40 MPH BETWEEN REHFIELD ROAD AND THE MISSOURI -PACIFIC RR CROSSING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, Traffic, Section 53-252, Schedule V. Increase of State Speed Limit in Certain Zones by adding the following section: Leopard Street, from Rehfield Road to a point approximately 1,975 feet west of Loma Alta Road (i.e., to the Missouri -Pacific RR track crossing), in both directions of travel. SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
