HomeMy WebLinkAbout020872 ORD - 02/13/1990AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING COASTAL AVENUE BETWEEN SEAGULL BOULEVARD AND WEST SURFSIDE BOULEVARD, BROOKLYN ADDITION; SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS LISTED BELOW. WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning the closing of Coastal Avenue between Seagull Boulevard and mailed to the last known addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450 feet of the area proposed to be held at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi on September 26, 1989, in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that the aforesaid portions of rights-of-way, proposed to be closed, are not needed now, nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights-of-way, and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to certain specified conditions: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1: That there is hereby closed and abandoned Coastal Avenue between Seagull Boulevard and West Surfside Boulevard, Brooklyn Addition, shown by plat in Volume A, Page 32, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, subject to the applicant paying fair market value of the street, paying all costs to relocate existing utilities within the right-of-way, and replatting said property within 180 days of passage of this ordinance. /ORD/89.rr MICROFILMED hat the foregoing ordinance was read its second reading on this the day ofy"1LiLL' 19 7C , by the following vote: for the first time and passc Betty N.
