HomeMy WebLinkAbout020884 ORD - 03/06/1990AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20609 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: Del Mar College Area Streets 1. Edwards Street, from Ayers Street to Naples Street, and 2. Naples Street, from Edwards Street to Kosar Street. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20609, March 7, 1989, be amended by amending Section 3 final assessment roll and assessments levied abutting property on the following street: Del Mar College Area Streets passed and approved so as to adopt the against owners of 1. Edwards Street, from Ayers Street to Naples Street, and 2. Naples Street, from Edwards Street to Kosar Street. a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effecupon ,first reading as_an emergency measure this the (C day of f , 19 t . These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth LA permit the Laying e[ a standard i5" curb and gutter section, 5" com- c_aa lime stabilized subgrade, 10" compacted caliche base and a 3" Type "D" Hot Mix asphaltic pavement. These streets will be constructed 40' in width within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' or 5' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks, 4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on the plans. The :assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest paving policy adopted by the Cit.:.
