PROVIDING FOR A RECOMMENDATION TO THE STATE HIGI AY COMMISSION IN
OPPOSITION TO THE REVERSAL OF THE EXIT AND ENTRANCE RAMPS ALONG
EASTBOUND SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi and State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation are mutually responsible for traffic safety at the
intersection of State and City roadways; and
WHEREAS, the reversal of the exit and entrance ramps along eastbound
South Padre Island Drive is under consideration by the State Highway
Commission;
TEXAS:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Council opposes the reversal of the
exit and entrance ramps along the eastbound South Padre Islami Drive between
Everhart Road and South Staples Street.
