AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED FOR
CONVEYANCE TO COLLINS SUPPLY COMPANY OF A PORTION OUT OF
LOTS 6 AND 7, BLOCK 2, CENTRAL WHARF AND WAREHOUSE, SOUTH
BLUFF PORTION SUBDIVISION FOR $5,700; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a Special Warranty Deed for conveyance to Collins Supply
Company of a portion out of Lots 6 and 7, Block 2, Central Wharf and
Warehouse, South Bluff Portion Subdivision for $5,700, all as more
fully set forth in the Special Warranty Deed, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due
to the need of executing the abovementioned Special Warranty Deed at
the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made
and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so
that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading
as an emergency measure this the -4,m day of

KNOW ALL BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI hereinafter called
GRANTOR, for in and consideration of the sum of Five
Thousand Seven hundred Dollars and no cents [$5,700.00] to
GRANTOR in hand paid by COLLINS SUPPLY COMPANY, 202 S.
CARANCAHUA, CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS 78401 the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged and for which no lien is retained,
either expressed or implied, has this day sold and by these
presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said
COLLINS SUPPLY COMPANY all THAT certain TRACT or PARCEL of
land lying and being situated in the County of Nueces, State
of Texas, more particularly described as follows to -wit:

To have and to hold the above-described premises herein
conveyed, together with all and singular the rights and
appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said
COLLINS SUPPLY COMPANY, Grantee's heirs and assigns,
forever, and GRANTOR does hereby bind Grantor, Grantor's
successors and assigns, to warrant and forever defend all
and singular the said premises herein conveyed against every
person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or
any part thereof, by, through, or under GRANTOR, but not
otherwise.

Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of Lots 6, 7, Block 2, CENTRAL
WHARF AND WAREHOUSE, South Bluff Portion, Subdivision, as shown by map of
record in Volume A, Page 15, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and more par-
ticularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point of intersection of Telco Street (formerly Kenedy Street)
and South Broadway Street, said point being the Northeast corner of said
Lot 7, Block 2, Central Wharf and Warehouse, South Bluff Portion, Subdivision
for the Northeast and beginning corner of the tract of land herein described;
THENCE S. 01° 00' E., along the West boundary line of said South Broadway
Street and the East boundary line of said Block 7, a distance of 60.0 feet
to a point for the P. C. of a curve;
THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the arc of a circular curve whose
central angle is 90° 00', radius 60.0 feet, tangent 60.0 feet, a distance of
94.25 feet to a point on the South boundary line of said Telco Street and the
North boundary line of said Block 2;
THENCE N. 890 00' E., along the South boundary line of said Telco Street and
the North boundary line of said Block 2, a distance of 60.0 feet to the place
of beginning and containing 772.56 square feet, more or less.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular
meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at
the present meeting of the City Council.
