AMENDING ORDINANCE 20758 WHICH CLOSED TRAVIS AVENUE
BETWEEN SCHANEN BOULEVARD AND DUBLIN DRIVE TO INCLUDE A
PROVISION TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF $13,981.13 WHICH
HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF
TRAVIS AVENUE AND REQUIRING REPLATTING WITHIN 180 DAYS
OF PASSAGE OF ORDINANCE AMENDMENT; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance 20758 which closed Travis
Avenue between Schanen Boulevard and Dublin Drive is hereby
amended to provide for payment of $13,981.31 which has been
determined to be the fair market value of Travis Avenue and
requiring replatting within 180 days of passage of ordinance
amendment so that the second and third provisions of Ordinance
20758 read as follows:
Depositing $13,981.31 with the City of Corpus Christi,
which is the fair market value of the property, to be
placed in the Street Trust Fund.
Replatting the property within 180 days of passage of
the ordinance amendment.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or
five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an
emergency due to the need for the efficient and effective
administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon fist reading as an emergency measure this the day

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing
ordinance an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular
meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at
the present meeting of the City Council.
