AMENDING SECTION 55-50, 55-61, AND 55-100 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, REGARDING WATER, GAS, AND WASTEWATER RATES;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That rates for utility service within the City
of Corpus Christi be and the same are hereby amended as follows:
(a) Section 55-50, Code of Ordinances,
Christi (Water Rates): All rates in
hereby increased by three percent (3%)
(b) Section 55-61, Code of Ordinances,
Christi (Gas Rates): All rates in
hereby increased by two percent (2%).
(c) Section 55-100, Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus
Christi (Sewer Rates): All rates in this section
(except for dried sludge) are hereby increased by
nine and one-half percent (9 1/2%).
SECTION 2. That all ordinance and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.

SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall
be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of
competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section,
paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this
ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that
every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 4. The rates established in Section 1 of this
ordinance shall be applied against all service provided beginning with
Cycle 13 billings on or about November 19, 1990, for October service.
SECTION 5. Publication shall be made one time in the
official publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the
caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.

AMENDING SECTION 5-5-50, 55-60, AND 55-100 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, REGARDING WATER, GAS, AND WASTEWATER RATES;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS: /
SECTION 1. That rates for y.tility,service within the City
of Corpus Christi be and the same are hereby amended as follows:
(a) Section 55-50, Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus
Christi (Water Rates): The present rates shall
continue in effect.
(b) Section 55-60, Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus
Christi (Gas Rates); The present rates shall continue
in effect.
(c) Section 55-100, Cbde of Ordinances, City of Corpus
Christi (Sewer Rates): All rates in this section
(except for died sludge) are hereby increased by
sixteen percent'(16%).
SECTION 2. That all ordinance and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.

subdivision, &lause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall
be held invalid ;or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of
