AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$119,110 WITH HAAS PAVING COMPANY TO REALIGN LAWRENCE
STREET BETWEEN EAST SHORELINE AND WEST SHORELINE
BOULEVARD; APPROPRIATING $75,000 FROM THE NO. 121 TAX
REINVESTMENT NO. 1 FUND.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Revestment Zone No. 1, City of Corpus
Christi, on May 8, 1990, approved the expenditure of $75,000 from Reinvestment Zone funds
for the Lawrence Street realignment;
NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract
in the amount of $119,110 with Haas Paving Company to realign Lawrence Street between East
Shoreline and West Shoreline Boulevard, all as more fully set forth in the plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are
made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of Haas Paving Company, said bid
being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $75,000 from the No. 121 Tax
Reinvestment No. 1 Fund and the transfer of these funds into the No. 220 Street Bond Fund is
hereby authorized for contract award, construction contingencies, engineering, testing, and
incidental and related expenses applicable to Project No. 220-601-602.04, Lawrence Street
Realignment.
