HomeMy WebLinkAbout021053 ORD - 12/18/1990AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20683 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: South Staples Street South Staples Street, from Saratoga Boulevard to Oso Creek; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20683, passed and approved May 30, 1989, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: South Staples Street South Staples Street, from Saratoga Boulevard to Oso Creek; a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this dinance is possed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the I day of US.
