HomeMy WebLinkAbout022854 ORD - 02/25/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UP TO $92,000 FROM THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (AUTHORITY) FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL POLICE PATROL AT THE AUTHORITY IN THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND -POLICE DEPARTMENT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 022643 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 96-97 BUDGET BY ADDING $92,000 TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND -POLICE DEPARTMENT FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is appropriated up to $92,000 from the Housing Authority of the City of Corpus Christi (Authority) for the supplemental police patrol at the Authority in the No. 102 General Fund -Police Department. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.022643 which adopted the FY 96-97 budget is hereby amended by increasing the No. 102 General Fund -Police Department appropriation by $92,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this thea tM day of /NABCt&C/ , 1997.
