HomeMy WebLinkAbout022878 ORD - 03/25/1997AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7000 AS ESTIMATED REIMBURSEMENTS FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ASSOCIATED WITH ADMINISTERING THE FARMERS' MARKET NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997; ADDING $7000 IN THE NUMBER 162 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND -HEALTH DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $7000 as estimated reimbursements from the Texas Department of Health associated with administering the Farmers' Market Nutrition Program for Fiscal Year 1997; adding $7000 in the No. 162 Federal/State Grant Fund. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance isassAed. and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the a?.*I day of /' {L'/'r del , 1997.
