Home My WebLink About022883 ORD - 03/25/1997ON ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER 53 - TRAFFIC, ARTICLE VIII - SCHEDULES, SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V - INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES, BY ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON THE CROSSTOWN EXPRESSWAY EXTENSION EAST AND WEST FRONTAGE ROADS FROM A POINT NORTH OF HOLLY TO A POINT SOUTH OF SARATOGA; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Code of Ordinances Chapter 53 - Traffic, Article VIII - Schedules, Section 53-254, Schedule V, is hereby amended by adding: Crosstown Expressway (SH2861 East and West Frontage Roads from a point north of Holly and a point south of Saratoga: East Frontage Road: From a point approximately 3,335 feet north of Holly Road to a point approximately 1,510 feet south of Holly Road --50 mph --at all times. West Frontage Road: From a point approximately 4,720 feet north of Holly Road to a point approximately 1,510 feet south of Holly Road-- 50 mph --at all times. East and West Frontages: From a point approximately 1,510 feet south of Holly Road to a point approximately 2,500 feet south of Saratoga Boulevard --55 mph --at all times. East and West Frontages: From a point approximately 2,500 feet south of Saratoga Boulevard to the South City Limit --60 mph --at all times. SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 3. A violation of these speed limits may result in a citation being issued and a fine being assessed.
