HomeMy WebLinkAbout022886 ORD - 04/08/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $125,000 IN ACCUMULATED INTEREST EARNINGS FROM THE NO. 205 WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 022742 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 96-97 CAPITAL BUDGET BY ADDING $125,000 TO THE NO. 205 WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND AS SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING FOR THE ALLISON W WTP/NUECES ESTUARY EFFLUENT DIVERSION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $125,000 from accumulated interest earnings is appropriated in the No. 205 Water Capital Projects Fund. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.022742 which adopted the FY 96-97 Capital Budget is hereby amended by adding $125,000 to the No. 205 Water Capital Projects Fund as supplemental funding for the Allison WWTP/Nueces Estuary Effluent Diversion Demonstration Project. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the g day of , 1997.
