RESOLUTION
ACCEPTING THE PROVISIONS OF TEXAS
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MINUTE ORDER NO.
107109 FOR REVERSAL AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE
ENTRANCE AND EXIT RAMPS ON IH -37 FROM RIPPLE
STREET TO THE SOUTH END OF THE NORTHBOUND
NUECES RIVER BRIDGE, IN CONNECTION WITH THE
DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW FACTORY OUTLET CENTER
AND OTHER RELATED FACILITIES ON PROPERTY
ABUTTING IH -37 BETWEEN SHARPSBURG ROAD AND
THE NUECES RIVER
Texas Transportation Commission Minute Order No. 107109 concerns the reversal and
reconstruction of entrance and exit ramps on IH -37 in connection with the development of a new
factory outlet center and other related facilities. The Texas Transportation Commission passed this
minute order on February 27, 1997.
Under the minute order, the city will:
1) pay all construction costs, currently estimated at $530,000, for reversal and
reconstruction of these ramps on IH -37;
2) provide plans, specifications, estimates, utility adjustments, and environmental
mitigation, all in accordance with Texas Department of Transportation and Federal
Highway Administration policies and procedures; and
3) pay all indirect costs to reverse and reconstruct these ramps, in accordance with
the State of Texas' Indirect Cost Recovery Plan.
Under the minute order, the Texas Department of Transportation will:
1) proceed in the most feasible and economic manner with project development,
including bidding of the construction contract;
2) prepare environmental documents, hold necessary public hearings, and obtain
environmental clearance; and
3) review construction plans, let the project contract, and inspect project construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Corpus Christi accepts the provisions of Texas Transportation
Commission Minute Order No. 107109 for reversal and reconstruction of the entrance and exit ramps
on IH -37 from Ripple Street to the south end of the northbound Nueces River Bridge, in connection

with the development of a new factory outlet center and other related facilities on property abutting
I11-37 between Sharpsburg Road and the Nueces River.
