AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER 53 - TRAFFIC,
ARTICLE VIII -SCHEDULES, SECTION 53-254, SCHEDULE V - INCREASE
IN STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES BY INCREASING SPEED
LIMITS ON HOLLY ROAD; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND
PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53 - Traffic, Article VIII -
Schedules, Section 53-254, Schedule V, is hereby amended by :
Deleting the following section:
Holly Road.
From Rodd Field Road to Ayers Street -- 35 mph -- At all times.
And in lieu thereof adding:
From Rodd Field Road to a point 500 feet west of Carroll Lane -- 35 mph -- At all times.
From a point 500 feet west of Carroll Lane to a point 500 feet west of Kostoryz Road -- 40
mph-- At all times.
From a point 500 feet west of Kostoryz Road to Ayers Street -- 45 mph -- At all times.
Also maintaining the following sections:
From a point 1.0 mile east of Rodd Field Road to Rodd Field Road -- 40 mph -- At all times.
From Ayers Street to Los Robles Drive -- 40 mph -- At all times.
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 3. A violation of these speed limits may result in a citation being issued and a
fine being assessed.
