HomeMy WebLinkAbout022947 RES - 05/27/19971 RESOLUTION REQUESTING A PRELIMINARY ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATION FROM THE TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE WATER POLLUTION REVOLVING FUND AND APPROVING MATTERS INCIDENTAL TO SUCH REQUEST WHEREAS,the Texas Water Development Board has developed a new Financial Assistance Program, referred to as the Capital Improvements Plan Option (CIPO); and WHEREAS, the CIPO provides access to funding through the State Water Pollution Revolving Fund (commonly referred to as SRF) for large borrowers' ongoing capital improvements programs that address the long term process of construction and financing wastewater and reuse infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi desires to utilize CIPO with respect to the financing of certain wastewater construction projects included in its FY 1996-97 Capital Improvements Program; and WHEREAS, the first step in utilizing the CIPO requires a resolution of the City Council to request a Preliminary eligibility Determination for such wastewater and reuse projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Texas Water Development Board is hereby requested to provide a Preliminary Eligibility Determination with respect to the city's use of the CIPO to finance certain wastewater construction projects listed in the FY 1996-97 Capital Improvement Program. SECTION 2. That the City of Corpus Christi will comply with the Texas Water Development Board's rules and requirements applicable to obtaining the Preliminary Eligibility Determination so requested. SECTION 3. That the City manager, or his designee, is authorized to make such representations and submit such information and documents to the Texas Water Development Board as may be required to obtain the requested Preliminary eligibility Determination. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after passage.
