AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TERMINATE THE
INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN CORPUS
CHRISTI AND THE COASTAL BEND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
AUTHORIZED BY MOTION M90-195, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY STEPS TO CAUSE
ELIMINATION OF THE PRESENT 9-1-1 TELEPHONE SERVICE
CHARGE, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION #20374.
WHEREAS, the purposes for which the City of Corpus Christi contracted with the Coastal
Bend Council of Governments pursuant to Motion M90-195 (7/31/90) and adopted Resolution
#20374 (7/12/88), the promotion of the establishment of a viable 9-1-1 system, have been
accomplished; and
WHEREAS, the 9-1-1 fee in the amount of fifty cents per month per line is no longer
necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to terminate the Interlocal Cooperation
Agreement between the City of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend Council of Governments
authorized by Motion M90-195, in accordance with Section XII of said Agreement, and to take all
necessary steps to cause elimination of the present 9-1-1 telephone service charge.
SECTION 2. Resolution 20374 is hereby repealed.
