ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $165,500 FROM THE COMBINED UTILITY SYSTEM
UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022643,
WHICH ADOPTED THE FY1996-97 BUDGET, BY ADDING $165,500 TO
THE COMBINED UTILITIES SYSTEM FUND; TRANSFERRING $165,500
TO AND APPROPRIATING $165,500 IN THE NO. 205 WATER CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND FOR THE O.N. STEVENS SEDIMENTATION BASINS
1 AND 2 REHABILITATION PROJECT; AMENDING THE FY1996-97
CAPITAL BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 022742, BY ADDING
$165,500 TO THE WATER PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated $165,500 from the Combined Utility System Unreserved
Fund balance.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 022643, which adopted the FY1996-97 budget, is amended
by adding $165,500 to the Combined Utilities System Fund.
SECTION 3. $165,500 is transferred to and appropriated in the No. 205 Water Capital
Projects Fund for the O.N. Stevens Sedimentation Basins 1 and 2 Rehabilitation Project.
SECTION 4. The FY1996-97 Capital Budget, adopted by Ordinance No. 022742, is
amended by adding $165,500 to the Water Program.
SECTION 5. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this ordinan is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency measure this the )OEhday of , 1997.

requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
