REAFFIRMING THE CITY'S COMMITMENT TO ADOPT
FINANCIAL POLICIES TO REBUILD GENERAL FUND ENDING
BALANCES TO PRIOR YEAR LEVELS AND ENSURE THAT
ENDING BALANCES ARE MAINTAINED AT ACCEPTABLE
LEVELS IN FUTURE YEARS.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi adopted a financial policy by Resolution No.
022828 on January 16, 1997 which committed to rebuilding General Fund ending balances to prior
year levels and ensuring that acceptable ending balance levels are maintained in future years; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 022828 requires City Council to reaffirm the financial policy
annually in conjunction with preparation of the budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. That the financial policies adopted by Resolution No. 022828 are reaffirmed.
