ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI SECTION 53-106 - OVERSIZED
VEHICLES, BY INCREASING THE PROCESSING FEE
FROM $75 TO $80; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Corpus Christi Code Chapter 53 - Traffic, Section 53-106 is amended to
increase the processing fee from $75 to $80:
Sec. 53-106. Oversized vehicles.
No vehicle exceeding the legal maximum dimensions and/or load limits as
specified in the Texas Motor Vehicle Law, including houses and other structures
being moved under the provisions of section 2204 of the city building code, shall
operate on any city street without first obtaining the required permit from the director
of engineering services or his designated representative. Such permit shall outline the
required routing through the city, safety requirements, escort services, and any other
provisions necessary to protect the public welfare and safety. Such permit shall be
accompanied by an indemnity agreement of a form approved by the city and such
insurance and bonds which may be deemed necessary. Application for such permit
shall be accompanied by a processing fee of scvcnty fivccighty dollars
($75.00)MA0 to cover administrative costs.
SECTION 2. Publication will be made one time in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi by publishing the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. This
ordinance will be effective upon publication.
