SETTING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH THE
TEMPORARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE PROPOSED
CORPUS CHRISTI CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION
DISTRICT ON AUGUST 26, 1997, AT 2:00 P.M. IN CITY
COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON THE PROPOSED TWO-YEAR
CRIME CONTROL PLAN AND PROPOSED TWO-YEAR
BUDGET PLAN; AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE
OF SUCH HEARING
WHEREAS, the Temporary Board of Directors of the Proposed Corpus Christi Crime
Control and Prevention District will schedule a public hearing on its proposed two-year crime
control plan and its proposed two-year budget plan in accordance with the Crime Control and
Prevention District Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to hold a joint public hearing with the Temporary
Board on said plans; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A joint public hearing shall be held on August 26, 1997, at the regular meeting
of the Corpus Christi City Council commencing at 2:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers at City Hall,
by the City Council along with the Temporary Board of Directors of the proposed Corpus Christi
Crime Control and Prevention District, on the proposed two-year crime control plan and proposed
two-year budget plan formulated by the Temporary Board.
SECTION 2. The City Secretary is directed to publish notice of the joint public hearing not
later than the 10th day before the date of the hearing.

plan proposed by the Tedrpo-
rary Directors of the proposed
Corpus Christi Crime Control
and Prevention District pursu-
ant to the Texas Crime Control
and Prevention District Act.
The public hearing will be held
in the Corpus Christi Cay
Council Chambers, City Hall
1201 Leopard on August 26,
1997, during the regular msst-
kg of the Corpus Christi City
Council, which commences' at
2:00 p.m. The public hearing
will be jointly conducted by the
Temporary Directors of said
proposed district and the Cor-
pus
orpus Christi City Council. The
proposed district includes the
area within the Corpus Christi
city limits. Any resident of the
district Is entitled to be present
and participate at the hearing.
