HomeMy WebLinkAbout023045 ORD - 08/26/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $160,000 FROM THE CORPUS CHRISTI REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY INTO THE NO. 220 STREET CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY'S SHARE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDED IN THE 1997-98 ANNUAL SIGNAL CONSTRUCTION SUPPLY CONTRACT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 022742 THAT ADOPTED THE FY 96-97 CAPITAL BUDGET BY ADDING $160,000 TO THE NO. 220 STREET CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $160,000 is appropriated from the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority into the No. 220 Street Capital Projects Fund for the Regional Authority's share of traffic signal improvements included in the 1997-98 annual signal construction supply contract. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 022742, which adopted the FY 96-97 Capital Budget, is amended by adding $160,000 to the No. 220 Street Capital Projects Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance i passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the QV h day of { , 1997.
