APPROPRIATING $37,800 FROM FAA GRANT NUMBER 3-48-
0051-23-96 FOR THE PAVING REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY
17/35 CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN THE NO.
245 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 022742 THAT ADOPTED THE FY 96-97 CAPITAL
BUDGET BY ADDING $37,800 TO THE NO. 245 AIRPORT CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $37,800 is appropriated from FAA Grant Number 3-48-0051-23-96 for
the Paving Rehabilitation of Runway 17/35 Corpus Christi International Airport in the No. 245
Airport Capital Improvement Fund.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 022742, which adopted the FY 96-97 Capital Budget, is
amended by adding $37,800 to the No. 245 Airport Capital Projects Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that his ordinance is assed and shall take effect upon first reading as an

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
