Home My WebLink About023064 ORD - 09/16/1997AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AN OIL AND GAS LEASE ON THREE TRACTS COMPRISING 1.378 ACRES THAT UNDERLIE MCNORTONPARK, A PORTION OF THE CLARKWOOD DRAINAGE DITCH NEAR HIGHWAY 44, AND A PORTION OF MCKINZIE ROAD, FOR A MINIMUM BID OF $300.00, $10.00 PER ACRE DELAY RENTALS, 20% ROYALTY, WITH A FIVE YEAR TERM. WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids to lease minerals, with a minimum bid of $300.00, $10.00 per acre delay rentals, 20% royalty, with a three year term; and WHEREAS, City Council opened the bids on August 29, 1995 and evaluated same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a three year oil and gas lease with T.S. Dudley Land Company, Inc., for $300.00, with a $10.00 per acre delay rental, and a 20% percent royalty, which was determined to be the bid that was most advantageous to the City, for the property described on the attached and incorporated Exhibit A. A copy of the oil and gas lease, completed with the name and numbers set out above, is on file with the City Secretary.
