APPROPRIATING $2,345,355 FROM FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 3-48-0051-24-97 FOR TERMINAL
RECONSTRUCTION, RUNWAY 13/31 REPAIRS, AND DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE NO. 245 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
FUND; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 022742 WHICH ADOPTED
THE FY 96-97 CAPITAL BUDGET BY ADDING $2,345,355 TO THE NO. 245
AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $2,345,355 from Federal Aviation Administration Grant No.3-48-0051-
24-97, is appropriated in the No. 245 Airport Capital Improvement Fund for terminal reconstruction,
Runway 13/31 Repairs, and Drainage Improvements.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.022742 which adopted the FY 96-97 Capital Budget is
amended by increasing the No. 245 Airport Capital Improvement Fund appropriation by $2,345,355.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that pis ordinance i passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency exists
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two
regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
