HomeMy WebLinkAbout023077 ORD - 09/23/1997ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $160,152 FROM THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY IN THE NO. 162 FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS FUND FOR THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE REGIONAL INTERLIBRARY LOAN CENTER LOCATED AT CORPUS CHRISTI PUBLIC LIBRARY DURING STATE FISCAL YEAR 1998; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $160,152 is appropriated from the Texas State Library in the No. 162 Federal and State Grants Fund for the continued operation of the Regional Interlibrary Loan Center located at Corpus Christi Public Library during State fiscal year 1998. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that tis qrdinance isepassed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this thea (t 1 day of f.)._ lLL't % , 1997.
